Borsboom Wedding

The story

This wedding day was beautifully different from a traditional timeline. The day started around 9am and continued until midnight, giving plenty of room for both private moments and celebration. A large part of the day was spent with just the couple, moving slowly through places that were meaningful to them — including Oudewater, where they visited the restaurant of their first date, and a quiet forest where they shared a private first dance. Instead of rushing from one formal moment to the next, we had time to capture them naturally: walking, laughing, enjoying each other and simply being present in the day. Later, the celebration began with around 50 close family members and friends for dinner, speeches and group photos. In the evening, more guests joined for the ceremony, bringing the gathering to around 90 people. From a photography perspective, this day was about observing more than directing. My approach was to quietly follow the flow of the day, capturing the honest, candid and meaningful moments as they happened. The result was a wedding gallery that felt warm, personal, relaxed and true to the couple.
