The story

This family session with the Esterhuizen family was photographed in the most natural place possible: their own home. There was no staging, no studio lights and no pressure to make everything look perfect. The focus was simply on capturing them in the place where they already feel comfortable — the little corners, routines and moments that are part of their everyday life as a family. After spending some time at home, we took a walk to their local park, making the session feel even more like a small piece of their normal day together. These are the kinds of family photographs I love most: honest, warm and personal. Not overly posed, but full of memories that feel genuine to the people in them.
